Your role:

We are seeking a Service Bench Technician to join our Service Team for a 1-year contract position.

As a Bench Technician you will participate in different missions through a wide variety of activities including tool repair, calibration, software upgrades, new system configuration and customer support.

This position will be Onsite at the General Motors plant in Oshawa Ontario, and you will report to the Onsite Manager at General Motors.

Responsibilities:

Inspect, diagnose, and repair complex electromechanical devices using our industryleading troubleshooting methodology for tool service
Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of customers tools and quality equipment utilizing Atlas Copco's SPIRIT asset management system
Complete software upgrades and testing of new communication interfaces
Setup new systems for customers and perform predelivery tests
Work with global engineering and quality teams to investigate customer issues and improve product performance
Special projects and shop related tasks.

To succeed you will need:

Postsecondary diploma or degree from an accredited college, university or technical / vocational institution
Preference will be given to graduates in an Electro-Mechanical, Electronics or Technology program
Mechanical aptitude, enjoy taking things apart and getting them back together again
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Comfortable collaborating in a team environment
