Responsibilities:


Reporting to and under the direct supervision of the Supervisor-Enforcement Support Services or designate, this position is responsible for duties related, but not limited to assisting the Parking Equipment and Collection Operator in collections and maintenance of the parking equipment.

The position will also assist with special projects and office support.


Principal duties include:

  • Assist in collections and maintenance of parking equipment in commercial districts
  • Conduct integrity testing on parking equipment and create associated reports
  • Assist with special projects in the commercial districts
  • Maintain daily written records of workrelated activities.
  • Participate in department initiatives including preparing research and data analysis
  • Communicate courteously with the general public and where necessary refer them to a permanent staff member.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • All applicants must provide confirmation of postsecondary full time student status in current academic year and/or acceptance into full time studies in September 202
  • Experience in cash handling procedures
  • Ability to deal with the public courteously and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize completion of tasks.
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work in varying climate conditions.

Note:
The successful applicant will be required to provide their own green patch work boots.**
