T. Musselman Excavating a local growing excavating company that is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team.

If you have construction/excavating experience, enjoy a positive work environment, manual labour and working outdoors this job may be right for you.


Salary:
$20-$28/hr, dependent on experience


Hours:40-55 hours a week


Benefits:

Available to employees after probationary period, RRSP matching program


Responsibilities

  • General labour duties on job sites
  • Raking / shovelling various materials for grading and other purposes
  • Assisting with pipe laying in sewer trenches
  • Traffic control
  • Acting as a spotter, backing up vehicles/equipment
  • Operating various small tools and compaction devices
  • Opportunity to learn to operate various equipment, (skid steer, loader, roller, diesel plate, packer etc.)
  • Assisting with survey works
  • Lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs
  • Required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Comply with all company health and safety guidelines
  • Responsible for own transportation to job sites
  • Responsible to provide own personal protective equipment
  • Other duties will be assigned as required

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience as a skilled labourer
  • Previous experience and knowledge about the excavating industry is preferred
  • Machinery experience is an asset
  • Must be safety conscious
  • Excellent team player
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Must have a valid G license
  • Must be punctual and personable
  • Must obtain WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety training

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$20.00-$28.00 per hour
