Centurion Contracting Ltd. - a branch of the Advantage One Group in conjunction with C&C Electrical Mechanical, NovaWest Electrical, and Royal City Fire, is a dynamic, established organization urgently seeking an EXPERIENCED and motivated Cabinet Shop Supervisor who shows potential for growth within our company.


Responsibilities:


  • Complete necessary shop maintenance on equipment and schedule repairs as necessary.
  • Complete door verification and drilling.
  • Complete review of drawings and cut lists.
  • Work with employees to perform physical inventory count.
  • Be responsible for ordering inventory and allocating to correct jobs.
  • Oversee safety of operations and be available to answer technical questions from fellow team members.
  • To train new employees in the policies and procedures of the cabinet shop specifically with regards to tradespecific practices and procedures.
  • Liaise with Production Manager and Department Head to recommend cabinet shop equipment purchases, replacements, or requirements.
  • Proactively communicate with all involved parties, keeping all informed about progress for production and installation.
  • Ensure all incoming and outgoing materials are clearly and properly labeled, verified, and stored in their designated location.
  • Ensure all items have been checked for quality before sending to installation or paint, and then quality check prior to sending items to site.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Considerable experience and knowledge of Cabinet Making with an understanding of how items should come together.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
  • Strong problem solving with a solutionbased approach to issues.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and/or time constraints.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and effectively (organized and detail oriented).
  • Flexibility: you have a willingness and the enthusiasm to try new ways of doing things, or to help others if there is a need for it.
  • Strong organizational, management, and leadership abilities as well as effective oral and written communication.
  • Excellent analytical, decisionmaking, and problemsolving abilities

Required Education and Experience:

  • 10 years plus of Cabinet Making / Millwork Construction, and / or completion of Red Seal Joinery Program.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Licensed forklift truck operator an asset but not required.
  • 3 to 5 years of Millwork Installation an asset.
  • Previous management experience an asset.

From $35.00 per hour
