Position Overview
The Tools and Material Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Foremen and Superintendents in all aspects of the warehouse/yard functions with a focus on tools and equipment and material supplies.
Responsibilities
- Receive equipment and material deliveries into inventory as they arrive
- Maintain a standard yard inventory for daily distribution to field crews, and fulfill specific equipment and material order requests with short turn around times
- Accurately track and control within computer program tool inventory, transfers and equipment certifications
- Daily equipment inspections and calibrations to ensure they are in proper working order for field issuance
- Keep warehouse organized and categorize tools and equipment ready for jobsite use
- Forecast and order or provide material and equipment for field crews Supervisors and Field Crews
- Interact internally with Fleet and Procurement departments and with outside suppliers, for purchasing, rental and maintenance
- Maintain clean and orderly warehouse and yard at all times
- Use utmost safety at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School or equivalent
- Must have experience operating a skid steer and other compact construction equipment safely in a yard environment
- Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Some experience in warehouse environment
- Ability to communicate well with employees at all levels within the organization written and verbal.
- Effective computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office
- Outlook, Word and Excel
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable with strong work ethic
- Must be a selfstarter with proven experience in working independently
- Outstanding customer service
- Be cost oriented in decision making
- Must have experience with maintenance and repair of construction tools and equipment
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand on feet for long hours
- Ability to lift/ carry up to 50lbs
