WHAT'S THE JOB?


Dana Hospitality (a part of Dexterra Group) is looking to hire a full-time 6 month contract Social Media & Events Coordinator to join our team.

As a company that focuses on Scratch Cooking we are looking for an individual skilled at creating engaging social media content and tying it to our operations in the form of seasonal and marketing events.

Upon successful completion of the contract and evaluation by our hiring team, there may be opportunity to transition this into a full-time role.

Dana Hospitality is a Culinary Company that provides food services to a variety of business and industry clients.

The role will involve managing Dana's Social Media presence for 5 of our locations and will report to both District Manager & the Corporate Engagement and Social Media Lead.

Social Media

  • The Creation of Social Media Handles for 5 of our clients as well as populating them with content relevant and customized for each of the clients' contexts
  • The use of a variety of mediums including: reels, photography, short videos, carousels and stories to articulate culinary values.
  • Continual research of optimizing visibility based on the current feed algorithms
  • Collaboration with our culinary teams to determine what kind of incentives and valueadding content can maximize and grow our audience and customer count over time
Event Planning

  • Must have an outgoing personality willing to engage both our internal and external stakeholders
  • Keen eye, understanding of merchandising, tabling, registry and event signage
  • Experience in working and planning around tight timelines
  • Well organized and able to juggle multiple ongoing projects

Qualifications:


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Intermediate knowledge of the big 4 Social Media platforms including: Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and Twitter
  • 1 year in event planning is a must
  • Ability to edit both audio and video on desktop and mobile is a necessity
  • The ability to take strong and wellpositioned photos with a mobile or tablet camera
  • Demonstrated ability to be both creative and efficient in creating Social Media content
  • Strong understanding of how brand messaging works and the ability to pivot this into multiple content forms is a must
  • Ability to develop rapport immediately and follow up on deliverables is a must
  • Ability to travel with your own access to transportation is needed
  • Rudimentary understanding of Kitchen Health and Safety is preferred
  • Flexibility in hours is strongly preferred
