WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Provide life skills support to adults with physical disabilities to achieve their goals
Provide personal support services _(i.e., activities of daily living, lifts/transfers, bowel/bladder routines, dressing/undressing, skin care, respiration, meals/drinks, general hygiene)_ to clients in their homes
Be part of the UNIFOR union

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

A passion for providing exceptional personal support services to male clients
Ability to lift and transfer clients
Manages time in cooperation with clients to complete tasks
Ability to accept direction from client's regarding services
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problemsolving, conflict resolution and judgment skills
Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with others
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 computer skills (Outlook, Word)

Qualifications:

Post secondary degree/diploma in Developmental Service Worker (DSW) or Social Services Worker (SSW)
PSW certificate from an accredited Ministry of Health SchoolOr
Post secondary degree/diploma in other healthcare related field of study
Plus two (2) years' experience teaching daily living skills to adults with physical disabilities and augmentative communication requirements
PSW certificate from an accredited Ministry of Health School
Proof of First Aid and CPR certificate
Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Person)
