About You


You are familiar with the automotive industry and interested in working in an environment where you are constantly on the move, completing various tasks, and helping others.

Reporting to the Shop Foreman, the Parts Technician will perform for the garage and body shop.

You will maintain the parts inventory and be responsible for sourcing those parts, assist customers at the front counter, providing them with information on performed and recommended services, and you will coordinate the day to day administrative and clerical functions in our Service Department.


Responsibilities:


  • Source, handle, stock, dispense and maintain parts inventory.
  • Manage inventoried parts through the Mitchell Inventory System.
  • Manage quarterly inventory counts at the direction of accounting.
  • Negotiate with vendors, placing orders and receiving parts.
  • Frequent communication with manager and coworkers on parts pricing, availability, and timelines.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
  • Participate in company health and safety program.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Excellent attention to details, accurate, organized and has outstanding communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft office required.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with automotive parts and automotive servicing methods.

Education and Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma
  • 2 years experience as a parts technician required
  • Skilled Trade Certificate (Optional)
  • Experience with Mitchell Inventory System preferred
  • Must be able to work in a shop environment with moderate noise

Physical Requirements:


  • Lifting up to 50lbs
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands or arms.
  • Exposure to inclement weather at times.
  • Must be able to work in a shop environment with moderate noise
