**Elements Casino Brantford is seeking a Full-Time Surveillance Supervisor

Position Summary


Under the general direction of the Regional Surveillance Manager, this position is responsible for monitoring the day-to-day activities of Surveillance Officers at the site level, as well as monitoring interior and exterior areas of a property by closed circuit television cameras.

Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitors Surveillance Operators; verifies timesheets; provides input for performance evaluations
  • Monitors, documents and reports violations, large cash/cash equivalent transactions, excluded and selfexcluded guests and unauthorized access
  • Maintains logs; prepares daily reports; stores records securely for evidence purposes
  • Monitors, documents and reports on the condition of surveillance facilities and equipment; performs preventative maintenance on equipment as required
  • Trains new team members
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Manages other incentives as required

Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Post secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of surveillance or security experience; minimum 1 year of supervisory experience; gaming experience preferred
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Category 1 Gaming License
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and serviceoriented communication

Work Environment Considerations

  • Secure backoffice environment, sitting for long periods of time, watching footage for long periods of time, nontraditional work hours
