Power Shear Operator
We are looking for an experienced
Power Shear Operator for our client located in
Bolton,
ON. They are a wholesaler of construction materials.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate a Power (Hydraulic) Shear.
Must be experienced in adjusting machines.
Reading blueprints, checking all measurements (Tape Measure and Micrometer).
Cutting Sheets and Plates experience.
Set up, operate, and monitor power shearing equipment to cut materials, ensuring precise measurements and clean cuts.
Select and position materials to be cut, including metal sheets, plates, or other relevant materials.
Perform routine maintenance on the power shear equipment, including blade changes and lubrication, to ensure optimal performance.
Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment, to maintain a safe working environment.
Use measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensions and ensure the accuracy of cuts.
Move cut materials to the designated storage areas or conveyors for further processing or shipping.

Requirements:

Min 2 years Hydraulic Shear Exp.
Cert Forklift an asset.
Training 2 weeks on Day shift then convert to Nights.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
Basic mathematical and measurement skills.
Knowledge of safety procedures and practices.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Location:
Bolton

Shift:
Night Shift (10 hr) Mon to Fri + some O.T.

Pay Rate:
$22.50/hr.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$22.50 per hour
