What you'll do:


Responsible for the day-to-day execution of tasks and may be involved in the planning for the direction of their department.

Achieve budgeted goals related to sales, margin, expenses, and inventory and execute sales strategies that support North Central Co-op's vision.

Achieve established objectives in terms of brand, service levels, quality, and timeliness of delivery and identify areas for improvement.

Recruit, train, develop, coach, and motivate the department team while fostering a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all team members in the pursuit of desired results.


  • Prepares, administers and achieves budgeted department goals related to pricing, sales, margin, expenses and inventory.
  • Assist the Store Manager in communicating operational requirements, operational changes, and translate the vision into departmental initiatives.
  • Provide leadership to the department, including goal setting, performance management, training and development of team members.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

  • You have a post-secondary education in a related field
  • You have 35 years proven experience managing a produce department
  • You're familiar with retail and customer service
  • You're honest and trustworthy, are resultsoriented and strive to be the best in what you do
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives
