***The Inventory Coordinator - Work In Process (WIP) is responsible for maintaining Work in Process (WIP), Finished Goods, and Consumable inventory accuracy to support on-time delivery to our customers. As a member of the Production and Operations Planning Team, the Inventory Coordinator - WIP will also provide vacation and absenteeism coverage for the Scheduling Planning Team.

This position requires membership in the MoveUp Union, Local 378.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting Scheduling/Planning and the Operations Team, the Internal Supply Chain Coordinator manages inventory systems which include weekly/monthly physical inventory cycle counts, inventory adjustments, transaction audits, and inventory transfers while documenting results.
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, generate, and issue inventory control tags.
  • Conduct internal inventory audits, track discrepancies, use root cause analysis to identify reasons for inaccuracies, and provide feedback.
  • Monitor inventory levels for WIP queues, transitory locations, nonstocking, slowmoving, or obsolete products.
  • Identify and standardize physical inventory locations.
  • Acts as a backup to the Scheduling and Planning Team:
  • Translation of planned manufacturing demand onto achievable production schedules and purchase plans.
  • Balance capacity and flows of material in shortterm planning horizon.
  • Providing timely responses to specific order inquiries from the Sales group.
  • Recognizing and expediting a solution when conflict occurs between demand and capacity.
  • Daily SOD meetings.
  • Four to eight hours of daily computerrelated work required.
  • Assist in project work as required.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 23 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Planning, analysis, and inventory control in a highvolume, repetitive, manufacturing environment.
  • Postsecondary courses or certifications in inventory control and operations management.
  • APICS, Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) program would be considered an asset.
  • Handson experience using advanced inventory methodologies and techniques to improve inventory accuracy, while reducing overall inventories.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Outlook, and intermediate Excel skills are required.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment, experience with QAD would be an asset.
  • Detail oriented with welldeveloped communication, interpersonal, time management, analytical, and problemsolving skills.
