New and exciting things are in the works at Elements Casino, including great career opportunities Right now, we are looking for a professional, guest service driven Security Officer to be a part of our Security Team.

As a member of our Security Team you will be responsible for the safety and protection of team members, guests, the casino and company assets.

On a typical day you will ensure the integrity of the gaming floor and company property by patrolling and monitoring the entire casino site, interior and exterior as well as controlling access of keys and restricted areas.

This position requires flexibility for scheduling including evenings, graveyards, holidays, and weekend shifts.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Monitoring, documenting and reporting internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities
  • Preparing electronic statements via a nongaming record keeping system
  • Enforcing restricted access by unauthorized persons
  • Observing cashier transactions, slot drops, chip fills and transferring items to Lost & Found
  • Performing identification checks as required
  • Referring disputes to the Supervisor, Security
  • Conducting regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the property as directed
  • Escorting guests and team members as directed
  • Performing crowd control as directed
  • Designated Security Officers may be required to attend to first aid incidents, after completing an Occupational First Aid course
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
  • Enrolling guests in the Self-Exclusion program
  • Performing other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous Security experience an asset
  • Gaming Security Officer Training an asset
  • Occupational First Aid level 2 an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to exceed internal and external guest expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Possess a high level of honesty and integrity
  • Can understand, speak and write English, fluency in other languages an asset;
  • A passion for providing unrivaled personalized service to both our internal and external guest
  • The ability to obtain/maintain a criminal record check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
  • Serving It Right Certification required
