Job Summary:


The Analyst, Enterprise Data will work collaboratively with business partners in technology & operations, along with the field, to gather information, analyze results, investigate and identify risks and process to drive new and existing data products in the SPGC ecosystem.


This role sits within the Enterprise Data team, which is responsible for the data used by products delivered in partnership to the field by the Enterprise Analytics team.


The Analyst, Enterprise Data will work cross-functionally to drive improvements in our Data as a Product solutions, and will support data testing, data quality and data governance projects as directed.


Essential Duties:


  • Liaise with various IT & Operations teams to ensure that technical and business solutions fully meet stakeholder needs for BI reporting, adhoc extracts, data science projects, and customer relationship management.
  • Perform data profiling, plan user acceptance test cases (UAT), execute and review data testing results. Establish minimum viable product as well as acceptance criteria for development sprints and undertake UAT for data warehouse related projects.
  • Execute data projects assigned by the Director of Enterprise Data to ensure that business requirements are properly understood and that user development "stories" are well crafted, to enable efficient and accurate ETL development.
  • Develop and prioritize development stories, participate in Agile development ceremonies, as well as afteraction reviews for data projects.
  • Establish programmatic processes to proactively measure and manage data quality (ideally via automated solutions) using SQL, SAS, and other programing languages; coordinate work to remediate data defects and address data quality problems.

Required Skills:


Bachelor's Degree in a related, quantitative field, or 10 years of related insurance industry data experience; hands on and practical exposure to data warehousing, business intelligence, data modeling and master data management concepts; demonstrated SCRUM/Agile experience; knowledge of reporting tools (Power BI); consultative style that leverages business and technical resources; experience with EPIC and Benefit Point broker management systems; understanding of data governance best practices; working knowledge of data modeling, data integration and master data management.


Salary:
$90,000.97-$100,000.00 per year
