We are seeking anAccount Payable Supervisor to join our team in
Winnipeg, MB
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the Accounts Payable Supervisor is an integral part of the accounts payable team responsible for providing accurate, timely and relevant accounting information to internal stakeholders and driving standardization and process and control improvements.
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for providing direction and supervision to the accounts payable staff and supporting the Accounts Payable Manager in achieving these goals.
The Account Payable Supervisor
will:
- Supervise the operational management of the payables function and all Accounts Payable Coordinators
- Provide reporting direction to the Accounts Payable Coordinators as it relates to job duties, and action item assignment
- Supports the Accounts Payable Manager in managing priorities and workloads of the department, ensuring that deadlines are met
- Ensures that policies and procedures are clearly communicated and adhered to by the Accounts Payable Coordinators
- Responsible for training of new Accounts Payable coordinators
- Work closely with the Accounts Payable Manager to report the monthly KPI's, and in the development and implementation of automated processes to create efficiencies
- Take direction from leadership and act upon specific action items within agreed timeframes
- Responsible for ensuring that client requests are prioritized and assigned to Accounts Payable Coordinators
To be successful
as a
Account Payable Supervisor with People Corporation, you will need**:
- Demonstrate strength in planning and organizing the actions and priorities of others (and self), including managing, and coordinating tasks, project plans according to approved principles and within agreed parameters
- Learning and change agile with a proven capability to understand new business environments
- Demonstrate a high level of independence, accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation in accomplishing day to day work and longterm goals
- Strong communication skills both written and oral. Able to build effective relationships and work within and across functions
- Post-Secondary education in accounting or related field
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Experience in Sage 300, Oracle or other ERP system is required
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset
