Maritime Paper Products is seeking to fill the position of Production Planner for our Dartmouth, NS location.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful applicant will assist in planning the daily production schedule of the plant machinery while maximizing efficiency and ensuring waste, overtime and downtime are kept to a minimum.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Monitoring paper inventory and reordering stock when necessary.
  • Receiving scheduling orders from our other locations.
  • Preparing production reports.
  • Assisting the production team in a variety of areas including the gathering, analyzing, filing and reporting of quality information and various other record keeping duties.
  • Establish and maintain work relationships with the various key plant stakeholders.

What You Will Bring

Education:


  • Grade 12 level education or GED equivalency is required.
  • College diploma or university degree in a related industrial field or a university degree in a related engineering discipline is preferred.
***Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a planning, scheduling, or reliability role.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing is required.
***Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office Products is required.
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Above average mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision and work well with others in a team environment.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be obsessed with safety and quality.
  • Must demonstrate open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work.
