ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:

The Business Intelligence (BI) & Reporting Analyst develops insights into operational effectiveness and resource management efficiency.

The primary focus is in understanding the line-of-business performance and opportunities, analyzing data and market trends and generating insights to improve sales and customer services.

MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Utilize systems and datasets to develop insights into our processes and results to identify operational effectiveness and resource management efficiency.
Identify, develop and implement systems (hardware and software) and processes to measure tasks and effectiveness.
Ensure systems support customer expectations to affect customer behaviour
Work with Data Analysts to define datasets
Develop insights into customer behaviour and to improve customer sales funnel
Analyze Market trends
Develop management dashboards to visualize results with tasks performed and performance measures (KPIs)
Train, assist, coach, mentor users to upgrade reporting systems and identify efficiencies and software / technology to improve reporting and measurement process
Evaluate the operations and sales processes to quantify the efficiencies and identify improvements
Identify, propose and facilitate business process improvements related to data and reporting
Forecast expected demand and make recommendations on resource availability

REQUIREMENTS:

College diploma in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology or Computer Science
3+ years' experience as a Data Analyst
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, SharePoint and Excel
Certification or experience in data and reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI, R or Python
Previous experience in Business Process Analysis (BPA) preferred
Proficiency using Google Analytics & Website Use Analytics
Experience working with large datasets from multiple sources
Strong communication (written & verbal) skills
Analytical & problem solving skills
Ability to translate data insights into business insights
Experience working on marketing campaigns and analysis
Familiarity with agile methodologies of solution design
Experience with Customer Service in the travel and / or transportation industry is an asset
