Job Summary


The Data Analyst, Curriculum Development, is responsible for all Learning Management Systems training data sources to ensure accurate, timely and planned training data analysis and reporting.

The role is accountable for the accuracy and integrity of all data used to support the compliance and effectiveness of training.

The incumbent works collaboratively with a range of internal and external CN stakeholders and partners to identify, secure, and validate the training data.

In addition, the incumbent liaise frequently with the LMS team to develop, extend, and integrate LMS data for senior leaders and executives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of all LMS training and performance data within the Training and Development group through reporting
  • Provide full lifecycle, critical and statistical analysis on data for improved efficiency and effectiveness of the learning functions
  • Develop and maintain training dashboards, with relevant data, metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and data trends to enable continuous improvement ideas to leadership
  • Develop effective graphics, reports, and documentation to operationalize complex, multidimensional primary and secondary data analysis
  • Provide accurate Campus training data for business and other functions' use and reference
  • Create and maintain Excel Visual Basics for Applications (VBAs) Macros to support various teams
Working Conditions

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday.

Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and stress.

The role requires mínimal travel (5%) within Canada and the United States (U.S.).


Requirements:

***Experience

Business Analytics

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field
Education/Certification/Designation

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field

Technical Skills/Knowledge

  • Knowledge of dashboard development and reporting using Power BI, Power Automate, Tableau and internal LMS (Cornerstone)
  • Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Excel (Macros) and PowerPoint (executive reporting)
  • Knowledge of creating dynamic PDF forms using Power PDF advanced software
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, SharePoint and Outlook)
