Primary Objective of the Position:


The CMC Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight of daily CMC functions including the management of the daily network flight schedule.

This includes the achievement of all aircraft and network on-time departure/arrival objectives and coordination of all customers' operational requirements.


Essential Position Functions:


  • Coordinate, manage and monitor the various departments within the organization to ensure conformity with CMC requirements on a daily basis.
  • Oversight of daily CMC functions, including the management and successful execution of network flight schedule(s) including the preparation, distribution, analysis and review of various reports / performance metrics and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of CMC functions to deliver an enhanced final product to our Customers.
  • Coordinate adhoc charters with all stakeholders (sales, operations, flight dispatch, crew scheduling, stations, thirdparties, etc.) to ensure that all requirements are covered, coordinated and communicated in a timely fashion.
  • Assist in the development of operational plans and optimum network schedule design and execution.
  • Analyze and resolve any operational issues ensuring complete Customer satisfaction and the attainment or surpassing of Customer contractual commitments.
  • Work in partnership with Human Resources and Executive Management in creating, fostering and maintaining a positive and open twoway communication workplace for all employees at all times.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment for all of our employees that is fully compliant with all corporate policies and procedures and all federal labour regulations.
  • Monitoring performance and implement improvements that support corporate objectives. Develop and monitor KPI's to drive ontime delivery and exceed customer expectations.
  • Establishing and implementing departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures in collaboration with the Director CMC and staff, as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience working in an operational airline environment in a supervisory or management position.
  • Strong experience in aircraft weight & balance functions; aviation weather knowledge; international charter experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfortable working in a fastpaced, highpressure environment, and adaptable to everchanging situations. The decisions made within CMC have a direct impact and ripple outward to have implications on most areas of Cargojet and on our Customers.
  • Must possess and display an anticipatory and proactive management style.
  • Indepth knowledge of company policies, procedures, and operations including Flight Track; Sabre/ISO/etc.
  • Comprehensive understanding of legislative compliance issues related to employment and transportation regulations and statutes.
  • Proficiency in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint and related software.
  • Strong problem solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask & work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
