Are you a driven individual eager to gain practical experience in accounting, lease management and financial administration? BGO is offering an exciting Accounting Internship opportunities where you'll collaborate with our accounting and lease administration group to tackle diverse tasks, from administrative duties, lease reviews to the preparation of vital financial reports.

What you will do:
The Accounting Intern will report to the Controller and will be responsible for some or all the tasks listed below:
- Assist with the preparation of property financial statements.
- Assist with the preparation of property budgets.
- Provide support to Property Accountants relating to daily, monthly, and annual accounting activities:
- Maintain various Excel spreadsheets for reconciliation purposes.
- Complete analytical reconciliations as required.
- Preparation of bank reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly GST/HST reconciliations
- Realty Tax Refunds
- Document filing and merging mainly using PDF Converter
- To take on additional work as required and as delegated.

Who You Are:
- At a minimum, completion of first year of Business/Commerce Program at a recognized university
Relationship Skills:
- ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written

Organizational/Multi-task Skills:
- ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.

Computer Skills:
- intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs; knowledge of Yardi an asset

Police Clearance
- A criminal verification check is required for employment.
