Duties and Responsibilities:


Qualifications:


The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

  • Knowledge of common theories, methods, and topics in the social sciences and humanities
  • Knowledge of research and sector trends, project management, and business development
  • Knowledge of relevant governing legislation, collective agreements, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of office as well as the broader university academic units, departments, and divisions
  • Knowledge of office productivity software/databases, discipline-specific software, enterprise software such as banner, technology devices and internet competency
  • Knowledge of cultural competency and diversity in a business context

Education and Experience:


The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

  • Doctoral degree (preferably in a social science and humanities discipline)
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in a research environment, including a minimum one year of management and leadership experience
