Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

Knowledge of common theories, methods, and topics in the social sciences and humanities
Knowledge of research and sector trends, project management, and business development
Knowledge of relevant governing legislation, collective agreements, policies and procedures
Knowledge of office as well as the broader university academic units, departments, and divisions
Knowledge of office productivity software/databases, discipline-specific software, enterprise software such as banner, technology devices and internet competency
Knowledge of cultural competency and diversity in a business context

Education and Experience:

The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

Doctoral degree (preferably in a social science and humanities discipline)
Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in a research environment, including a minimum one year of management and leadership experience
