ONE TO ONE CHILD & YOUTH WORKER

MUST HAVE A PSW CERTIFICATION

WORKING WITH A NON VERBAL, AUTISTIC YOUTH

Salary:
$21.21 an hour
plus $3.00 per hour Government Wage Enhancement

Friday & Saturday 11:00pm-07:00am = 16 hours

Since 1980, Pioneer Youth Services operates residential treatment homes for children and youth with behavioural, social, emotional, developmental. and psychological disorders

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervise youth to ensure medical needs are met
  • Personal Care
  • Completing logs and incident reports as required
  • Administer medications as needed

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Experience in a residential treatment (group home) setting for children and young adults with emotional, physical, social, behavioural challenges and/or dual diagnosed youths would be an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to build productive and supportive relationships with both staff and residents

From $21.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
