We are committed to recruiting & retaining a talented term Instrumentation Journeyperson. This is for a local job anticipated to be one year in length.

Duties & Responsibilities

Commissioning & startup
Use pneumatic, electrical & electronic testing devices to inspect & test instrument & system operation, & diagnose faults
Calibrate & maintain components & instruments according to manufacturers' specifications
Consult manufacturers' manuals to determine test & maintenance procedures
Repair, maintain & adjust system components or remove & replace defective parts
Conduct work in a manner prescribed by JA Tech's Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Manual
Comply with Electrical Code, safety standards, & other applicable legislation
Perform other duties as required

Skills & Qualifications

Red Seal: Instrumentation
Strong interpersonal, communication, & problemsolving skills
Strong knowledge of drawings (wiring, schematic, & layout)
High voltage terminations and/or Fiber experience is considered an asset
Site experience
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines without supervision
Self motivates with a proactive attitude & ability to pitch in & do what is required
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Willingness to travel regularly to job sites
Proficiency in the Windows environment & Microsoft Office
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
