Position Summary


The Occupational Health Intern will assist the Occupational Health department with the facilitation of the Occupational Health process for the hospital.

The Intern will also assist in the administrative functions of the OH department, including filing, correspondence, answering and/or redirecting inquires as appropriate, training scheduling, and N95 scheduling.


Qualifications:


  • Currently enrolled in a Human Resources postsecondary education program or equivalent
  • Advanced computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
  • Previous administrative experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written, in situations that may require tact, diplomacy and discretion.
  • Demonstrated appreciation and respect for protocol, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Must possess initiative, ability to organize and coordinate, excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated and flexible with the ability to adapt quickly to new situations/challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize a heavy workload and multitask.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to provide exceptional service.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a teamwork environment.
  • Experience working in a hospital environment is an asset.
  • Satisfactory work performance and attendance record required.
