The position at a glance
The Montreal Operation Team is currently recruiting new graduates in the following business areas:

  • Capital Markets
  • Back Office
  • Product Referential/Data Solutions
  • Creation, update, management of all instruments and static data in all booking, market data and settlement systems for equity derivative and fixed income products
  • Support internal clients for all issues related to product referential data maintenance
  • Daily controls of local market data (closing prices, rates, fixings & volatility) used for Profit & Loss and risk production Monitor, maintain, and communicate corporate action events within internal and external systems impacted


  • Client Onboarding

  • Due Diligence
  • Conduct research on legal entities in the Bank's systems as well as in official government records and other public websites
  • Conduct basic corporate financial research
  • Conduct research on the economic activities of legal entities using available internal documents, such as credit proposals, or on public websites, such as Business Week (sector/industry type, products, services sold, localization of main suppliers, main clients and operation locations);
  • Evaluate client sensitivity according to a predetermined grid and instructions;
  • Communicate with clients, as needed, to gather information on beneficial ownership or on any other missing documents.
  • Know your customer (KYC)
  • Ensuring that all data, document and information collected as part of the due diligence process are compliant and reliable to determine the final risk level of the client relationship.
  • Ensuring that the level of due diligence performed is in accordance with the final risk level of the client relationship
  • Ensuring that local regulatory requirements pertaining to the KYC case has been fulfilled
  • Ensuring that financial security risk triggers are appropriately consulted with compliance for opinion
  • Preparing a memo substantiating the KYC analysis review
  • Ensuring that the file is submitted for Relationship Manager's final signoff
  • Client Services
  • Ensure any request escalated (Confirmation, settlement, valuation explanation etc.) is answered in a timely manner
  • Help Clients navigate the Bank
  • Ensure the valuations, event notification and audit reports parameterization in systems in accordance to the current procedures, cross asset classes and ensure the correct and timely production and delivery of these reports
  • Maintain, enhance and develop relevant operational related policies and procedures Develop FirmtoFirm relationship across product disciplines and functions
  • Regulatory Reporting Controls
  • Responsible for establishing operation procedures and controls to comply with internal revenue services (IRS) regulations regarding information reporting for BNPP US entities.

Eligibility:

  • Must be able to work in the local premises with a valid visa
  • Has graduated less than a year ago or will graduate by June 2024 from an accredited post-secondary program
  • Has less than 1 year full-time professional experience excluding relevant internship experience

  • Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
