What will you do?
- Coordinate and maintain server level operations related to hardware, software, security and communications for LAN and WAN environments
- Identify, detect and solve related problems
- Provide first level helpdesk support to all users
- Coordinate LAN/WAN based projects and downtime strategies
- Assist in the development of security for LAN/WAN strategies
- Provide LAN/WAN status reports when necessary
- Maintain inventory of hardware/software documentation and inventory
- Provide recommendations as required to LAN/WAN, software and hardware enhancement and optimization
- Provide backup support for Patient Information Systems Administrator and the Information Systems Administrator
- Provide staff with training and orientation to system hardware and software
- Develop and maintain relevant procedure and technical manuals
- Telecommunication support for internal phone system, cell phones, PDA devices and other telecom electronic devices
- Liaise with external contract vendors on any facilities/IT work or repairs
- Lead and/or participate in and demonstrate an understanding of quality, risk and patient safety principles and practices
What must you have?
- 2 to 3 years' experience in the maintenance of LANs/WANs in Microsoft environments
- Valid driver's license with own transportation as travel may be required within the HCCSS HNHB geographical area
- We have a mandatory COVID19 vaccination policy. As a condition of employment, all employees are required to submit proof of COVID19 vaccination status prior to start date
What would give you the edge?
- 2 or 3 year post secondary diploma/certificate in Computer Systems/Science MCSE Certification
- Analytical, problem solving, decision making, written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail
- Selfdirected with the ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Strong customer service skills
