About the Position:


Canature WaterGroup is growing We are looking for driven, talented, and personable individuals to join our Production team in the role of Team Lead.


Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the position of production Team Lead is a hands on / tactical role responsible for the operations production area function, supporting the Site Supervisor with the day-to-day management of the manufacturing area, overseeing production associates, and ensuring an efficient operation in achieving established targets.

Provide leadership, training, and line management to the team, coordinating workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards are met in order to meet the requirements of our customers.

Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely.

Some specifics tasks this role is responsible for includes:

  • Will work as a working team lead alongside production personnel demonstrating and ensuring consistent speed and accuracy.
  • Have a complete understanding of all build processes, procedures, and requirements for all manufactured items.
  • Run daily production reports.
  • Print work orders utilizing due dates and sequence build orders based on these dates.
  • Close work orders in a timely fashion to ensure timely processing of output orders.
  • Ensure sufficient production orders have been picked to maximize production capacity.
  • Double check all picked work orders to ensure all items are correct before initiating build of any units.
  • Ensure all units are built as per work order requirements advising any discrepancies to management.
  • Ensure production associates are double checking their work.
  • Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently.
  • Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals.
  • Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
  • Follow all written and verbal instructions.
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained on a regular basis and report any issues found.
  • Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work areas.
  • Ensure general cleanup of work area's daily.
  • Manage other rework orders and projects as time permits.

About you:


  • Must be a team player with a positive and professional attitude.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead a team to successfully meet and exceed goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Full understanding of warehouse operations, layout, and locations
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office
  • Proficient in the use of Excel
  • Experience with QAD considered an asset.
  • 35 years experience working in a production warehouse environment.

About the work environment:


Warehouse

  • Able to move/lift to 50 lbs.
  • Able to withstand temperature changes in a typical warehouse environment (heat and cold)
  • Position spends extended amounts of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing.
  • Position may require climbing of rolling stairs for toplevel
