Overview:

Step into a pivotal role at AlphaChannel as our first IT team member. In this essential position, you will leverage your expertise to manage and optimize our IT infrastructure. As an IT Manager, you will address complex IT issues, streamline processes, manage assets, and lead innovative IT projects.

We are looking for someone who can work onsite 3 days per week, provided that you are living within a 30-minute distance from the studio.

This is to ensure you can be onsite at short notice in the case of any unexpected issues.

What you'll be doing:


Advanced IT Management

  • Providing technical support and managing IT operations to enable the resolution of hardware, software, and networkrelated issues, within our agreed timeframe.
  • Collaborating with senior IT leaders and external vendors for issue escalation and resolution.

Technical Solutions and Effectiveness

  • Identifying and addressing complex requirements, workflows, and technologyrelated pain points. You will identify and develop comprehensive solutions.
  • Championing IT needs for both officebased and remote employees.
  • Developing and delivering advanced training programs, including user sessions, phishing, and security training.

Onboarding and Offboarding:


  • Collaborating with the People Team to ensure seamless IT onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintaining and enhance existing onboarding workflow automation.
  • Ensuring appropriate equipment allocation and permissions management.

Asset Management:


  • Overseeing the procurement, tracking, and disposal of IT assets.
  • Managing software licensing, procurement, cost analysis, and audits.
  • Maintaining vendor relationships, contracts, and licensing renewals.

IT Systems and Services

  • Installing, supporting, repairing, and maintaining advanced computer systems and servers.
  • Monitoring performance metrics and respond to service outages.

Innovative IT Projects:


  • Leading technical IT projects, ensuring accountability for milestones and deliverables.
  • Implementing innovative technologies and practice effective stakeholder management.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Strong professional IT experience within a similar level of role, preferably inhouse.
  • A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT Management, Management Information Systems, System Administration, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols.
  • Strong technical problemsolving skills.
  • Emphasis on thorough documentation practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle thirdlevel responsibilities as needed.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.

IT Management: RMM (NinjaOne, Datto, ManageEngine, Intune);

Ticketing and Service Management: (Freshservice, Zendesk, Jira Service Desk).

Communication: Slack, Microsoft Teams.

Endpoint Security: (SentinelOne, Crowdstrike, Windows Defender ATP, Huntress);

Documentation: Intranet, Wiki (Notion, Confluence, SharePoint).

  • You will have 2 weeks of annual leave to be taken at a time of your choosing, as well as 1 week shutdown in summer, and 1 week shutdown in winter. You will also have all government holidays.
