Summer Research Intern

Join Aon this summer as we review and revise our processes to optimize information flow and redevelop our national health team SharePoint site

This is a hybrid position located in Toronto.

What the day will look like


You will be working with Aon's Knowledge and Legal group to evaluate and implement knowledge sharing processes and tools used to support our national team of health and wellbeing advisors.


Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Working in a SharePoint environment, assist with new site development and content migration;
  • Collaborating with the Aon Knowledge and Legal team, analyze current team site and make suggestions to improve navigation, hierarchy and site structure for content migration to new instance of SharePoint;
  • Identifying requirements through research and analysis of user needs, preferences, objectives, and data available on how users consume content;
  • Assisting in planning information structure, data flow, and navigation for new site;
  • Assisting with new site build and content migration;
  • Develop targeted queries to obtain focused and accurate search results for automated trend tracking in legal research databases;

How this opportunity is different

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Knowledge of content management concepts;
  • Interest in controlled vocabularies, classification, data mapping, taxonomies, and process improvement;
  • Experience and interest in developing site maps, performing content audits, and structuring content;
  • Proven understanding of user experience and knowledge organization principles;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint;
  • Pursuing a Master's of Library and Information Science (or equivalent).
