Nature & Scope:

The Youth Recreation Instructor organizes and leads programs and events for youth.

Responsibilities:

Lead high quality, safe and stimulating recreation and education programs for youth
Assist with continuous development of programming
Research and implement a variety of learning tools
Provide educational and recreational material that is current and appropriate
Build and preserve positive relationships with community partners
Maintain program equipment and monitor use of equipment and supplies
Uphold the philosophy and values of the YMCA of Eastern Ontario and strive to improve and

sustain services at the highest level of quality

Qualifications:

Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) including Vulnerable Sector Check completed not more than

120 days prior to interview, with results acceptable to the YMCA of Eastern Ontario

Current Standard First Aid and CPR level "C"
At least one (1) year of experience planning and delivering youth programming
A high level of maturity and responsibility
Excellent interpersonal skills
