Your Role at Baxter


In this position, you will be responsible for executing and managing operational initiatives and programs to meet both business and strategic account operational requirements.

In collaboration with all internal stakeholders, you will help create a sustainable competitive advantage with the expectation that you will also be able to navigate the complexities of our business.


What you'll be doing:


  • Establish tailored operating mechanisms to meet the operational review needs of identified strategic accounts (GPO's, SSO's etc.)
  • Set up regular meetings with key customer stakeholders (internal and external) to review, align and make decisions on operational issues/requests for eg. product, availability, backorders, etc.
  • Determine and implement reporting needs to facilitate decisionmaking
  • Determine and execute escalation processes for both urgent and nonurgent customer requests
  • Log and manage service complaints for the strategic accounts
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the above operating mechanisms
  • Execute and administer operational homepatient programs, as required by the business.

Process Management & Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

  • Provide monthly S&OP support.
  • Lead the backorder management process.
  • Support the Financial inventory quarterly budgeting process and implement initiatives to optimize inventory performance.
  • Responsible for identification, reporting, and mitigation of inventory writeoff and excess inventory risk.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of standard operating procedures and adherence to Baxter's established practices and procedures.

What you'll bring:


  • 3 + years in Supply Chain/Operations/Contract Management/Sales Support
  • Minimum college degree with a specialization in Operations/supply chain or APICS certification and /or working towards (i.e. CPIM)
  • Prior experience with the JDE operating system
  • Process a high degree of selfconfidence that will enable them to respectfully challenge current processes
  • Excellent communication skills are required in order to collaborate with key stakeholders and drive positive change for our customers
  • Ability to ask probing questions in order to conduct root cause analysis and identify action required
  • Ability to collect customer feedback and disseminate key information to appropriate stakeholders
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills for both internal and external customerfacing communication needs
  • Highly effective within a virtual team environment and matrix organization
  • Strong prioritization and multitasking skills
  • Critical thinking; decisionmaking skills
  • Ability to analyze data and understand its value

Nice to have:


  • Financial experience including cost structure, P&L knowledge
  • Lean and Six Sigma exposure and practical experience in implementing the theories and tools
  • Bilingual is not required but is preferred
