Our team in Winnipeg MB, is looking for a full-time
Yard Supervisor

Yard Supervisor Responsibilities:


  • Housekeeping of the yard, and general yard maintenance on a continual basis.
  • Loading and unloading of equipment.
  • Maintain equipment logbooks and preform equipment inspections.
  • Assist in the loading of crew install trucks in the AM, and unloading in the PM
  • Shipping, receiving, and loading/unloading of materials.
  • Picking and staging orders.
  • Confirm accuracy of packing slips and material measurements, mark all incoming materials with identifying labels
  • Ensure all inventory received is returned to the proper location.
  • Loading and unloading of goods both manually and/or via forklift.
  • Completion of varying reports regarding materials received with high regard to accuracy and clarity.
  • Filing incoming and outgoing paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate inventory locations utilizing a master list.
  • Provide daily feedback regarding equipment and progression of assigned tasks.
  • As directed, assist others with and perform various manual labor tasks.
  • Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required.
  • Promote a team approach and maintain a dialogue with all employees to exchange information, gather, and share ideas.
  • Promote, execute, and adhere to the company's safety program.
  • Work with the Head Logistics Coordinator and Health and Safety Committee, to investigate any damages, incidents, or near misses on the worksite. Ensuring proper procedures are/have been carried out according to the Company's Safety Program.
  • Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Experience in a Shipping/Receiving role with a general understanding of warehouse operations in an OUTDOOR environment.
  • Experience/Certification with the operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, skid steers, combi lifts, loaders, etc
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors most of the time, year round
  • Strong commitment to Safety. The individual will be expected to adhere to safe work practices and follow the company's safety program
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
  • Solid customer service skills and organizations skills
  • Requires basic math skills and the ability to follow instructions and procedures
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on daily requirements.
  • Able to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills required.
  • Good analytical ability and manual dexterity.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be a team player.
Equipment training and certification may be provided for the correct applicant.
