- monitor contractors' delivery of construction and maintenance operations while ensuring necessary work records are maintained
- ensure compliance with contract requirements, review of extra work, contract drawings and documents and claims
- liaise with contractors, property owners, internal staff, and the general public to address issues and complaints
- provide technical advice and training to staff


How do I qualify?:


Mandatory:


Technical expertise:

- proven experience and knowledge of constructions and/or maintenance practices including inspection, material sampling, testing, and road patrolling duties
- knowledge of highway, construction standards and specifications and maintenance
- ability to interpret contract drawings and documents


Essential Skills:


  • Welldeveloped oral and interpersonal skills to deal with contractors, colleagues and the general public.
  • Good mathematical skills to conduct payment calculations and assessments, and conduct field surveys.
  • Proven analytical, negotiation, and problemsolving skills to assist with the assessment of constructionrelated issues
  • Good written skills to maintain accurate records such as inspector diaries.
  • Welldeveloped organizational and planning skills to carry out contract related activities.
  • Good working knowledge of computers to perform clerical and administrative work such as correspondence, instruction notices, payment calculations, payment reports, contract payment assessment, and applicable reports and forms.
