We are currently looking for a self-starter who has superior communication and organizational skills and is driven to provide outstanding customer service for the position of
Outside Sales Representative in our
Stoney Creek, ON Branch.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday; daytime hours.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership and direction within the sales department
  • Establish and execute strategic plan to grow revenues and profits of the branch
  • Develop or strengthen relationship with customers
  • Liaise with customers and internal departments to ensure sufficient and suitable product is available to meet customer demands
  • Identify and respond to customer needs quickly and effectively
  • Develop and achieve annual forecast by customer and industry
  • Delegate effectively and give meaningful feedback and recognition where appropriate
  • Communicate clearly the direction of the branch and the company both internally and externally
  • Support and maintain compliance with company policies and local laws that regulate the business
  • Assist in the day to day operation of the location

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement short, midrange and longterm marketing, sales and operational strategies and plans
  • Keep up to date with trends and developments in business, economy and technology
  • Develop and foster strong customer and supplier relationships
  • Represent the company in the business community
  • Support and follow corporate directives, goals and objectives
  • Effectively monitor and review own and others' performance against objectives and milestones
  • Foster and maintain employee morale and motivation

Requirements:


  • Prior sales experience in the steel industry required
  • Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills
  • Effective communications and negotiation skills
  • Strong customer service and retention
  • Product Knowledge
  • Comfortable with frequent travel; valid driver's license required
  • Ability to read customer's metal processing drawings preferable
