  • The preventative maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of Town and external fleet clients' vehicles and equipment.
  • Working in compliance with legislatively mandated guidelines to maintain the required level of vehicles and equipment for operations, as well as assist with the maintenance of emergency response vehicles as required.
  • Providing ongoing assistance in the coordination of vehicle and equipment servicing, and scheduling.
  • Collaborating with the Operations Manager, Roads and Fleet Services to provide comment on vehicle and equipment replacement forecasts, repair timelines and associated costs.
  • Keeping current with vehicle and equipment trends and best practices, technologies, and maintenance activities.


  • Job Requirements

  • Secondary school diploma or recognized equivalent.
  • Truck & Coach 310T (Interprovincial Red Seal) Certification, Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certification.
  • Automotive 310S (Interprovincial Red Seal) Certification is an asset.
  • Experience working on emergency vehicles is an asset, as is the Emergency Vehicle Technician Level 1, 2 & 3 Certificate.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience on heavy, medium and light duty vehicles.
  • A class G driver's license is required, and a Class D driver's license with Z air brake endorsement or AZ would be an asset.
