Set-up Operation - Toronto, Canada - Active Dynamics
Description
SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Supervisor of the department.
The incumbent performs equipment programing setup and ensures the correct set-up and tooling requirements are organized and available to meet production.
ROLE:
- Performs the equipment programming, tool setup and removal of production equipment
- Ensures production equipment functional
- Conducts required quality checks to insure product is within engineered specification
- Notifies Lead Hand and/or Supervisor(s) of product defects or other serious occurrences
- Documents and records all necessary information/data as per work cards and other company requirements
- Performs equipment operational checks
- Performs proper housekeeping, cleanup and other 5 S related activities
- Performs all duties according to safety standards and company policies
- Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Able to operate assigned Fabrication equipment
- Good mathematical skills
- Manual dexterity ability to use common tools
- Good interpersonal and communicative skills
- Knowledge of related CNC equipment and tooling
- Capable of programming and/or debugging equipment and specific job
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to meet prescribed production standards
- Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy
- Written and oral aptitude in English
- Min. grade 12 or equivalent education
- Conscientious and punctual
- Willing to learn
