OUR COMPANY
PWO Canada is a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier for auto manufacturers globally. We are one of five subsidiaries in the PWO AG Group, manufacturing lightweight metal components for the automotive industry.


PURPOSE OF POSITION
The purpose of the position is to maintain and monitor the Quality Management System. The System Coordinator is also responsible to ensure applicable documents are controlled.

The Systems Coordinator will assume the role of the Lead Quality Auditor in which maintains and monitors the Internal and External audit program.


NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The position interacts with all departments in order to organize Quality Management System documentation requirements. The position is responsible for his/her work assignments and does not direct the work of others.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Post secondary diploma in a Business Administration or Technical field is an asset.


Knowledge and Skills:
The incumbent must have excellent Microsoft Office skills in order to create forms and documentation. Knowledge of Technical Specifications IATF 16949 is required. Knowledge of Technical Specifications ISO 14001/45001 is an asset. Organizational skills, prioritizing, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills are essential.


Communication Skills:
Excellent written communication skills are required in order to assist in developing work instructions, procedures and forms. Oral skills are necessary in order to problem-solve gaps in processes with all levels of employees in the company.


Nature and Length of Experience:
At least two years of experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in developing and maintaining forms, documents, work instructions and procedures identified in the Quality Management System. The position does this by receiving information from managers and/or process engineers and investigates to 'fill in the gaps' in information.
  • Analyze how implementing forms and documents will impact other areas of the company. Obtain managerial and/or process engineers approval on all documents prior to releasing for distribution to the applicable segment of the Quality Management System.
  • Maintain Master list of all local forms, work instructions, documents within the organization.
  • Monitors internal nonconforming product documentation. Blocking and unblocking product in the SAP System.
  • Provides Admin Support to Production in maintaining part specific production binders.
  • Obtain and communicate Customer Specific Requirements and IATF 16949 Sanctioned Interpretations.
  • Prepares IATF 16949 Internal Audit Schedule (System, Process, Product) and obtains approval by the IATF 16949 Management Rep prior to releasing.
  • Works with IATF 16949 Internal Auditors to coordinate and perform all internal audits to ensure that audits are completed in a timely manner, internal audit reports are clear and concise based on IATF 16949 and customer specification requirements and related core tools (e.g. APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP)
  • Monitors and maintains IATF 16949 Internal Audit action plans for nonconformances issued during internal audits. Interacts with managers to identify corrective actions if required.
  • Verifies each system audit plan & checklist is current to the IATF 16949 Requirements, PWO Process House and customer specific requirements prior to system audits being performed. Updates audit plans where required.
  • Performs all duties within the 5S standards.
  • Follows and performs to the instructions as outlined in the Work Area Reference Manual(s) applicable to the department.
  • Follows and performs to the processes and instructions outlined in the Process House that are applicable to the department.
  • Performs other duties characteristic of the job environment as requested by the Manager.
  • Responsible for working safely, complying with safety policies and procedures, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) required in the designated areas as per company policy
  • Responsible for working safely and keeping a safe work area for themselves and fellow employees. Reporting any unsafe working conditions, practices, and workrelated injuries immediately to his/her Manager.
  • Any other jobrelated duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Manager.
