Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Placement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to match job seekers with suitable employment opportunities. You will work closely with job seekers and employers to ensure successful job placements.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct job interviews with job seekers to assess their skills, experience, and qualifications
  • Match job seekers with appropriate job openings
  • Build and maintain relationships with employers
  • Provide job search support and career counselling to job seekers
  • Maintain accurate records of job seeker and employer interactions
  • Monitor job seeker progress in their new positions
  • Develop job search strategies to help job seekers find employment

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or higher
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in job placement or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations

Salary:
$40,000.00 per year


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • North York, ON M3J 0L5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
