General Accountabilities:
Reporting to the QHSE Manager and collaborating closely with Production Managers/Coordinators, the Shipping & Quality Specialist is responsible for overseeing shipping/export operations, ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, managing product packaging, facilitating imports/exports, and supporting quality systems within the organization's operations.
This role involves coordinating imports of hazardous raw materials, organizing product shipments to customers, and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS).
Specific Accountabilities:
- Coordinate all shipping and receiving operations, ensuring adherence to QMS standards.
- Prepare shipping documentation including packing lists, commercial invoices, and shippers' declarations.
- Audit and document shipments in compliance with regulations.
- Negotiate with freight carriers to optimize pricing and service.
- Coordinate dispatch of shipments to customers.
- Lead Quality meetings with relevant teams and monitor action items.
- Monitor inventory levels and purchase packaging materials as needed.
- Ensure accurate completion of QMS Logs and address nonconformances.
- Initiate and oversee CAR/PAR reports related to shipping processes.
- Uphold Company Quality goals and performance objectives.
- Resolve work problems and recommend productivity improvements.
- Adhere to Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Author/update SOPs/Work Instructions as necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the QHSE Manager.
Educational Background, Skills & Experience Required:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
- Strong TDG shipping and QMS experience.
- Familiarity with foreign shipping methods (Air/Sea) and carriers like FedEx, UPS, Purolator.
- Experience with ISO Quality Management Systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Understanding of QHSE programs and compliance.
- Resultsoriented, energetic, and passionate about work.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others.
- Strong organizational and problemsolving skills.
Salary:
$23.00-$26.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
