REQUIREMENTS
:
-
Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or degree-granting institution and post graduate degree in Behavioural Sciences field (e.g.,
BST diploma).
:
-
2-3 years previous employment experience working with children with autism and under the supervision of a BCBA.
:
- Masters Degree or working toward is an asset.
DUTIES
:
- Working under the guidance of a Board Certified Behaviour Consultant (BCBA)
- Conducting and Administeringindividualized assessments including but not limited to: FBA, FAI, AFLS, CANS, etc.
- Work within a hybrid delivery service model (in person and remote work) dependent upon service demands
- Analyzingassessment data to select and inform appropriate evidence based interventions.
- Developing, monitoring, evaluatingindividual behaviour support/intervention plans.
- Designing/developingdata collection systems; maintaining and analyzing/interpretingongoing data collection, and under the guidance of a BCBAmaking clinical judgementsto revise or make changes to support/intervention plans (data based/informed decision making).
- Preparing and delivering/facilitatingparent coaching and mediator training through consultation, workshops, and collaboration.
- Providing caregivers, staff, and the multidisciplinary team strategies and support using ABA through a consultative and coaching model, that is, "Support and Coach".
- Designing and facilitating training, coaching, and mediation.
- Work independently and as part of a team and be flexible and responsive to shifting service demands.
- Work using familycentered and strengthbased practices.
HOURS OF WORK
:
- Committed to a regular 80 hour biweekly schedule that meets the needs of the people we support.
- Flexibility of evening and weekend work when required.
