General Accountability:


  • Provides coordination on project activities from inception to completion, in accordance with scope, budget, schedule, and defined requirements. Accountable for ontime, on budget successful delivery of assigned projects.

Key Job Functions:


  • Supports the Chief Strategy & Customer Officer with the development and execution of strategic objectives, projects, programs, and work initiatives across the Strategy & Customer Experience Group (SCG).
  • Define, monitor and review project requirements across all phases of the project lifecycle; Project Initiation, Planning, Execution, Control, Close Out activities, resource requirements and dependencies.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, senior management, and project resources and consultants to ensure adherence to scheduling policies, procedures and guidelines and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management.
  • Manage stakeholder needs, advising senior management and liaising with other TTC groups and external stakeholders as required to ensure the proper coordination of joint activities.
  • Ensure effective budgetary control by monitoring and analyzing performance measures of the project goals and objectives. Ensure investigations and reconciliations are conducted for over and under project expenditures/approvals/authorities.
  • Plan, supervise, coordinate and monitor scheduling activities (both performance to date and planned schedule activities). Develop, maintain and ensure that scheduling policies, procedures and standards are adhered to.

Key Job Functions continued:


  • Assist with the planning of project resource requirements in accordance with accepted principles and coordination of allocated project funds.
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and updating of quality assurance oversight processes, standards, and related procedures.
  • Monitor adherence to corporate policies and standard operating procedures as well as to pertinent industry and government legislation/regulations and recommend means to improve compliance.
  • Establish forms and report formats for use in areas of project budgeting, costing and scheduling.
  • Demonstrates behaviours that support diversity, inclusion, and a respectful work and service environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. Helps to remove barriers and accommodate employees and customers (within their area of responsibility) in accordance with TTC's commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC's policies.

    Education and Experience:
  • University Degree or College Diploma in a related discipline, or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed to be equivalent combined with extensive related work experience.
  • Significant experience in an advisory role within a large public sector organization
  • Extensive project management experience with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior management and the Executive on large, complex projects
  • Demonstrated experience leading, motivating and influencing crossfunctional teams
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with various stakeholders at all levels of an organization for the purpose of meeting corporate objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to provide analytical and research support, and evaluate and recommend changes to policies, programs, processes and practices;
  • Knowledge of business administration, operations management, and change management principles and best practices
  • Excellent facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Sound organizational, interpersonal, presentation, data analysis, oral and written communication skills
