Shipper and Receiver - Vaughan, Canada - M&M Staffing
Description
We are hiring for Shipper and Receiver for one of our clients inWoodbridge, ON. Our client is in a manufacturing industry and is looking for long term and hardworking individuals.
Job Duties
- Ensure accurate and timely processing and organization of workflow for shipping and receiving functions.
- Ability to use RF Scanner.
- Efficient loading and unloading of products on trucks into racking system in a safe and timely manner, while ensuring product integrity
- Ensure proper product handling to maintain product integrity and safety
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all orders
- Ensure quality of product throughout the process of loading, unloading, storage and picking.
- Ensure full compliance with all operating and safety standards, policies and procedures
- Counting to ensure accurate quantities of product aligned with invoices
- Execute proper product labeling, allocation and storage of product in its appropriate cooler temperatures
Preparation of Material
- Identify product by label and/or tag
Packaging
- Inspect packaging
- Inspect label for accuracy and completeness, i.e., match label to package
Housekeeping
- Keep work area clean
- Maintain a safe workplace
Lift Truck Operation and Inspection
- Lift truck certification
- Operation of lift truck as required
- Perform preshift lift truck inspection
- Record results
Load/Unload Inspection
- Ensure truck is properly docked/chocked
- Ensure shipment is properly loaded and fully secured
- Record results
Material Handling
- Stage material at shipping / loading dock for shipment
- Ensure received goods are transported / delivered to the appropriate department
- Ensure items received are placed in their designated storage location to prevent damage and deterioration
- Assist in preparing warehouse for inventories
Required Qualifications
One (1) to three (3) years of warehousing experience in shipping and receiving
Valid Forklift Certificate
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment with progressing levels of responsibility.
- Must possess basic mechanical aptitude Possession of a valid Forklift License is an asset
- Strong customer interfacing skills
- Strong computer, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and follow up skill
- Exceptional time management, program management, and organization skills
