JOB SUMMARY
The Strategic Projects Leader (FLEX) leads key projects and initiatives that support Customer Group business priorities.

This position will lead short-term projects as assigned across the organization, including developing strategy, scope, roadmaps, and action plans for projects.

Project deliverables include securing alignment of these plans with key stakeholders and executive leadership and driving activation against these plans.

Some of these initiatives may require third-party vendor/ partner selection and contract negotiations which this person is also expected to lead.


This position will support the Chief Customer Officer on orchestration of key strategic projects that improve the operations and efficiency of the Customer Group and improve collaboration and communications across functions.

The specific projects this role will lead will be determined based on organization needs and will evolve over time. The initial list of projects includes the following.

  • Develop and facilitate Customer Group Executive Leadership Meetings
  • Evolve internatl and external customer messaging strategy

Education and Experience Required
- elop internal and external communications strategy for the Gen AI incubator

  • Partner with Loyalty and Marketing to develop and test a "Luminaries" program
  • Lead other special projects as needed


Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, this role will work closely with Customer Group leaders as well as relevant disciplines like global technology/digital, legal, finance, operations and any external discussions.


CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • 4year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major
  • 12+ years of relevant professional experience in marketing or related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Strategy and Opportunity Framework

  • Develop business framework and opportunity thesis for the project
  • Define scope of effort, clearly outlining areas of focus, what's critical questions to address and what success means
  • Create strategy and define expected impact
  • Secure alignment with leadership around strategy and opportunity

Solution Design and Project roadmap

  • For each project, propose solution and action steps required to deliver on strategy
  • Develop medium term execution roadmap
  • Define detailed nearterm implementation plan, including key deliverables, milestones, and extended team accountability by workstream; secure alignment on workstream ownership and deliverables
  • Define requirements, resources and investments required for execution by workstream; secure alignment and procure resources +

Initiative Activation

  • Set up overall implementation of each project and tracking delivery against plan
- set up tracking and reporting for projects
- provide template for leadership updates in all appropriate forums, including updates with EVP/ Presidents, QBRs, budget approval meetings, initiative discussions, owner/ franchise forums, etc., lead progress updates and present in forums as appropriate
- highlight accomplishments, risks, dependencies, contingency plans, etc.,

  • Lead specific workstreams as appropriate, e.g., vendor/ partner negotiation and contracting, impact sizing, scenario development, etc.

Tactical Support and Leadership

  • Lead specific tactics or workstreams where support is required
  • Identify and recruit SMEs as needed
  • Provide leadership support to extended team members where needed
