Job Type:
Full Time, Seasonal

Schedule:10+ hours per day, 6 & 1, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Location:
Edmonton and Surrounding Area's
- no direct access to public transportation

Essential:
Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions

Requirements:

Personal Reliable Vehicle
CSA approved steel toed boots with 6" ankle support
Valid Driver's License (non GDL)

Pre-employment:

Drug and alcohol testing (swabbased test)
Successful completion of Company Orientation and sitespecific orientation

Topman Helper Responsibilities:

Inspection of materials and piping.
Assist with installation of piping in the trench.
Complete checks on grade and alignment.
Shoot with a rod and level.
Shoot grade with transit.
Help to direct and signal heavy equipment operators.
Assist with installation and repair a variety of water and sewer lines.
Perform manual and labour intensive tasks as assigned.
Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
Assist with levelling top surface according to grade and depth specification.
Load and unload tools, materials and equipment.
Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 1 year experience as a Topman Helper in Water and Sewer.
Experience Shooting grades with a Rod and Level and or Batterboards.
Ability to work in physically demanding work conditions
