We are seeking a full-time experienced Server who will also oversee Front of House Supervisory duties to join our team.




Qualifications:


  • Previous fine dining serving experience
  • Previous managerial role in the hospitality sector
  • Strong time management skills
  • Personable and skilled in handling staff and customer interactions
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Interest in continuous cuisine development
  • Familiarity with standard accounting and point of sale systems
  • Genuine concern for customer and staff satisfaction
  • Proficiency in bar management, menu creation, and knowledge of beverages
  • Experience in event planning and execution

Responsibilities:


  • Enhancing customer experience across all service facets
  • Providing detailed information about our concept, ingredients, and values
  • Supervising all restaurant operations and supporting the team
  • Leading by example and maintaining high standards
  • Consistently performing well in a fast-paced environment
  • Actively participating in trainings, briefings, and meetings
  • Conducting staff training and development
  • Giving high priority to customer hospitality management
  • Contributing to marketing strategies and restaurant growth

The Butternut Tree is a Canadian restaurant with 62 seats showcasing a picturesque view of the river valley and Alberta Legislature. The expansive windows provide customers with a stunning connection to Canada's natural landscapes. Our focus at The Butternut Tree is on utilizing seasonal and local ingredients.

We aim to deliver authentic hospitality while taking customers on an exploration of the premium quality and diverse range of products from our region.


Chef and owner Scott Downey has dedicated the past decade to expanding his culinary expertise globally and bringing it back to his roots.

Beginning his culinary journey on Granville Island in Vancouver, before gaining experience in New York and Copenhagen.

Chef Downey received formal training at the Culinary Institute of America and apprenticed under industry giants like Daniel Boulud at his 3-Michelin Star Restaurant Daniel and Rene Redzepi at Noma, Copenhagen.

At The Butternut Tree, we incorporate all elements of this rich training and experience into our service and operations.


Salary:
$15.00-$20.00 per hour
