Convergint is currently recruiting for an Administrator for our Inventory and Fleet team in our growing team in our Ottawa, ON location.

Under general supervision and within a team environment, the Inventory & Fleet Administrator will provide support to manage Convergint's Canadian inventory to ensure inventory turns are consistent and asset inventory value is as low as possible at all times.

You will also be responsible for fleet management and you will be required to assist in coordinating the purchase, sell and maintenance of all Convergint Canada's fleet vehicles.

This includes a motivation in building effective business relationships with vendors and customers alike.

What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"

  • Support with planning, organization, and evaluation of the inventory and materials management activities and budget of the organization.
  • Support corporate governance and regulatory compliance procedures related to inventory and materials management operations.
  • Assist with monitoring inventory levels and inventory movement using manual or computerized inventory systems.
  • Create compiled inventory reports (quantity, type, value of materials, and equipment and stock on hand).
  • Confer with department management and colleagues to coordinate inventory and materials management activities.
  • Create reporting on KPI's to measure the effectiveness of inventory and materials management operations, and customer service satisfaction to all internal stakeholders, and help to identify areas of improvement.
  • Conduct investigations into inventory and materials management incidents to verify and resolve complaints.
  • Remain current with the latest inventory and materials management tools, technology, and procedures.
  • Maintain stock rotation using various approaches such as "last in first out" (LIFO) or "first in first out" (FIFO) and dispose of and account for obsolete stock.
  • Conduct administrative activities related to inventory management, and purchasing, production management, and warehousing planning functions, as required by the organization.
  • Assist with the logístical aspects of product life cycles, including coordination or provisioning of samples, and the minimization of obsolescence.
  • Manage product lifecycle (range) management ie. Product introduction and phaseout, etc.
  • Support all other supply chain functions as assigned.
  • Fleet duties as assigned managing gas cards, vehicle registrations, reporting, and all other administrative fleet tasks.
  • Acts as "our customer's best service provider" at all times thereby ensuring Convergint is the customer's first choice for service.

What You'll Need

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to deal with a wide cross section of people both internal and external to the business
  • Excellent Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
  • General proficiency in financial software specifically related to purchase order entry, accounts payable, and inventory management.
  • General financial knowledge and skills—ability to understand basic financials such as accounts receivable/payable, purchase orders, work orders, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects tasks simultaneously.
  • Advanced attention to detail.
  • Excellent flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, work processes, department structure, environment and technology in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong analytical skills necessary to resolve problems and look for solutions.
  • Strong ability to demonstrate independence, resourcefulness and tenacity.
  • Shows initiative constantly engages in proactive behavior and looks for opportunities.
  • Excellent mathematical skills.

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma
  • Postsecondary education in Finance, Supply Chain, or Business, is an asset but NOT required.
  • Minimum of two years of inventory experience preferred (retail/hospitality experience acceptable).
  • Minimum of two years past vehicle fleet experience preferred.
