About the role:

The Logistic Coordinator position contributes to the success of WW by managing the efficient release and delivery of NCI (Nissan and Infiniti vehicles), providing a high standard of timely and effective customer service by answering inquiries and responding to requests as the liaison with external suppliers, building daily and ad hoc reports on Ms.

Excel, and protecting NCI's bottom line by seeking ways to minimize transportation costs and delivery lead time.


Job Description:


Here is what an ordinary day of work might look like:

  • Manages and liaises daily with the plant, compounds, port, rail, and truck away companies on performance and inventory management of NCI vehicles.
  • Investigates systems' anomalies and potential issues impacting product flow and payment processing.
  • Analyzes, formulates, and collects data from NCI reports and data files, WITS, and numerous external resources to reconcile, summarize and document, daily inventories across Canada, daily truck away capacity and daily rail pipeline.
  • Monitors released units to ensure product flows in the expected manner, maintaining proper system records to ensure smooth inventory flow and ensuring that progress is reflected accurately in NCI's systems as well as WW's.
  • Conducts inventory sweeps, reconciles data, and corrects anomalies.
  • Arranges for special requests such as dealer pickups at compounds and provides correct dispositions on damaged vehicles.
  • Interfaces daily with external suppliers concerning NCI's releases, Estimated Time of Arrival, reroute, priority move and other requests to meet/exceed contracted delivery parameters.
  • Communicates with NCI to ensure the highest standards of customer satisfaction are maintained in addressing all NCI vehicle distribution/salesrelated inquiries.
  • Monitors and reviews daily requests, taking appropriate action to ensure integrity of the information before engaging external suppliers.
  • Prepares, Audits, verifies, and obtains approval on manual freight invoice requests received from carriers with appropriate G/L and costcenter coding and distributes to NCI finance for payment.
  • Follows up on unpaid or unprocessed payment requests to ensure carrier payment is received in a timely manner.
  • Monitors freight payment system to ensure successful processing of electronic invoices and intervenes to facilitate payment of such invoices where system configuration interferes with seamless Electronic Data Interface payment.
  • Implements and coordinates NCI's Special Requisition requests for National Auto Shows, Ride & Drives, Mall Tours, importation of PT (Prototype) units from Japan, U.S. or Mexico, Press and Fleet customer events.
  • Obtains rate quotes (negotiates) from carriers to ensure most cost effective and economical means of transportation to and from event.
  • Liaises with supply chain partners and enclosed specialized carriers to meet definitive movein / moveout timeline parameters.
  • Reviews and improves processes.
  • Coordinates with other team members to brainstorm and identify the best logistics solutions on more complex issues.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

Job Requirements:

This job is for you if you have:

  • Post Secondary education preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to run VLOOKUP's or XLOOKUP's on Excel and create pivot tables and/or charts.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and analytical ability.
