General Accountabilities:


  • Monitor, evaluate, and recommend changes and best practices to ensure efficient and effective completion of assigned work programs or processes.
  • Identify, plan, organize, document and monitor requirements and processes for activities requiring completion by various vegitation management work groups, to ensure delivery of service as agreed.
  • Contribute to the interpretation and assessment of the organizational performance as it relates to the execution of Transmission/Distribution Forestry work programs, paying particular attention to the effectiveness of business processes, and the penetration and successful adaptation of allied software tools and data systems.
  • Compile and review information and estimates on vegitation managment work. Evaluate the complete package, identify and recommend potential changes to improve the final package including prices and service levels.
  • Identify potential items, programs or processes requiring audit and develop standards and specifications to ensure reasonable compliance against standards or processes.
  • Perform compliance audits on programs/processes. Assist in process benchmarking and identify potential best practices to improve assigned processes.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis activities for the Transmission/Distribution Forestry work programs. This includes development of consistent financial forecast, unit pricing calculations, productivity, placemats/dashboards, scorecards/reports, reports to support rate filings/business planning, and others.
  • Mentor and coach reporting staff to enhance skills and capabilities of the team.
  • Coordinate, collaborate and communicate with all stakeholders within and external to the Vegiatation Management teams to ensure mutual objectives are achieved.
  • Exercise limited or periodic supervision over staff assigned to assist/contribute to specific studies or projects.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Selection Criteria:


  • Requires a sound knowledge of the theories and principles relating to business methods, processes, and operations, including change management techniques to ensure programs and processes are administered in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Requires a thorough knowledge of economics/business, financial planning and financial analytical techniques to carry out economic/business evaluations and compare alternatives and assess performance results.
  • Requires knowledge of statistical principles related to data forecasting, estimates, analysis of variances between actual and estimated values.
  • Requires a good knowledge of English both orally and in writing to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders as well as to prepare reports, contractual documents, presentations, business memos, briefing materials and specifications.
  • Requires strong general working knowledge of SAP, BI/BW/Power BI and expertlevel proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Requires experience in the company to be familiar with the overall operation, functions of major organizational groups, policy and planning practices, relationship to the external environment and financial structure.
  • Requires experience developing and implementing new business processes and monitoring organizational performance, using a variety of diagnostic tools.
  • Requires experience with monitoring, analysis and reporting function, including setting performance measures and targets.
  • Requires strong analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through the completion of 4 years of University training.
  • A period of over 8 years and up to and including 10 years is considered necessary to gain this experience.
