The Department of Education and Early Childhood Learning is seeking qualified individuals to fill multiple Bilingual Policy and Program Analyst positions situated in the Bureau de l'éducation française (BEF), Learning and Outcomes Branch or other areas within the Student Achievement and Inclusion Division.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Postsecondary degree in Law, Social Sciences, Education, Public Administration, or a related discipline, with related work experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated strong analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
- High level of political acumen for navigating sensitive and confidential issues with tact and diplomacy.
- Excellent written communication skills in French and English including experience writing a variety of documents and reports for different audiences in both languages.
- Strong verbal communication skills in French and English with the ability to effectively communicate with various levels of the organization to present information formally and informally.
- Demonstrate initiative and independent work habits requiring mínimal supervision, including ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and various stakeholders.
Desired:
- Experience working in national or subnational elementarysecondary education systems.
Duties:
Position A)
The incumbent acts under the authority of the office of the Executive Director of the Learning and Outcomes Branch on a range of education policy, research and data work with particular focus on the Provincial Assessment Program Unit on all issues pertaining to policies and programs related to assessment development, implementation, and National and International assessment programs.
The Policy and Program Analyst undertakes evidence-based research, analyses, and feasibility assessments to support the development of policies, programs, protocols, and best practices as it relates to departmental programs.
The Policy and Program Analyst leads the planning, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policy and program initiatives in the areas kindergarten to grade 12 assessment and evaluation.
The incumbent contributes to complex projects that involve diverse internal and external stakeholder groups with differing perspective and priorities.Position B)
Reporting to the Director of Official Languages Programs, the incumbent holds a lead role in developing programs and policies related to the provision of French language services and official languages Programs in education.
This includes research, internal and external consultations, development, evaluation and implementation of complex projects, especially the departmental French language services plan.
The incumbent is responsible for the coordination of strategic policies and programs with all areas of the BEF as well as other divisions and branches of the department.
