Job Summary
Specifically in an IT environment, coaches development team of scrum principles, helps the team focus on sprint goals and to achieve their highest performance level, to ensure the scrum project is successfully progressed.
What will you do?**- Participate in quarterly big room planning, setup JIRA board for quarterly program increments, and manage scrum of scrums, remove impediments, and execute sprint ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospective etc. across multiple scrum teams.
- Demonstrate strong competence in Project Delivery Excellence by establishing and maintaining effective project governance routines, facilitating and planning meetings and ceremonies in alignment with RBC's agile Framework, mandatory Artifacts and Methodologies.
- Develop detailed work packages, schedules, budgets. Identify the necessary resources and provides regular updates and communications to stakeholders/sponsors. Oversees and manages each project deliverable including vendorrelated deliverables for quality and completion.
- Ensure clear, concise and timely communication across project deliverables, including management of project financials and understanding of benefits and business outcomes.
What you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 5+ years of combined Project Management and Scrum Master experience working on mediumtohigh complexity initiatives.
- Advanced project management knowledge including plan development; scheduling methodology; project metrics gathering, analyzing, and reporting; risk assessment and quantification methodologies; cost/benefit analysis and alternatives identification; budgeting, financials and benefits management.
- Experience using Jira.
- Undergraduate degree with CSM, PMP or equivalent certification required.
Nice to have
- Experience in a matrix environment, preferably within a financial institution
- Experience in a variety of environments (Cloud, distributed and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases)
